TOWER
-- The Daily
Planet is humming with the sweet sound of success. It's an ambiance
that Planet patrons have come to know and love about this favorite
Tower District restaurant now for over 20 years.
In recognition of her significant contribution
to the City of Fresno and its historic Tower District, restaurant
owner Hannah Benson was unsuspecting when she was awarded the golden
Key to the City by council members on Monday this week.
"It was a complete surprise," Benson
said. "City Council members just started arriving and I thought
perhaps they were here for a luncheon. As it turned out, they came
to award us with the Key to the City of Fresno. It's a great to
be recognized for our many years of commitment to dining excellence
in the Tower District."
The restaurant, gloriously adorned in authentic
1940's art deco surroundings, brings to life a bygone era of economic
prosperity and world-class cuisine attracting people from all over
the world. In addition to the local crowd, many tourists visit the
famous dining spot on their way through Fresno to nearby Yosemite
National Park or to San Francisco.

the Daily Planet's Web site for a sampling of their menus and
